MENTORING

In the course of tutoring, students often bring up personal dilemmas around school, career, and other areas. Now, students have the opportunity to book sessions specifically geared towards those questions. Common topics include:

  • Course, Major, and Extra-curricular Selection

  • Conflict Resolution & Self-advocacy

  • Resume, Cover Letter, and Personal Essay Review

LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION

I come to know each of my students very well through the course of our work together. I am always happy to speak to their strengths or needs as they apply for programs or services, including:

  • 504 Accommodations or IEPs

  • Volunteer Opportunities

MEETINGS WITH Teachers & Administrators

Sometimes, in lieu of letters of recommendation, parents find it more helpful to have me in the room for 504 accommodation meetings or other conferences to accomplish the following for their child:

  • Present their strengths and weaknesses by skill or topic

  • Validate and advocate for their emotional experience

  • Propose solutions that align with their needs
